Alix-Klineman will be competing with Ross at Tokyo for her third gold in the coming days. Ross aims to earn an Olympic debut gold, however, she also hopes for even more. The next time she has the chance to do so at the age of 39. However, she's confident that top honors are firmly within reach. Ross was reported in NBC Boston as saying that If you put in your top, even if you perform well, you will win the gold. So I'm going to take some luck too. She was able to participate in numerous sports during her time at Newport Harbor High School. Her prep athletic career included indoor volleyball, as well as basketball, track and running. Kessy as well as Ross proved to be a formidable force in the international circuit, winning the world championship in 2009 with each other. The duo were awarded silver medals at the London Olympics. The Misty Maytreanor legendary team and Kerri Jennings took home the gold. Ross became Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's resignation. They were able to win the beach volleyball bronze during the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross began her collegiate time with the Trojans at USC in her high school days. It was a long time before Ross hit the beach and became a pro. Her time at USC was quite impressive. In her first year at the school, 2000 earned her the Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman's of the Award and also be named an All-American. Also, she was a key player to help the Trojans to make it to the Final Four. She endured a great personal loss during her sophomore year, but was still capable of achieving the All-American title. Through her last two years within the team, she guided the Trojans up to the summit of the mountain winning consecutive national championships. In her own way, she cemented her place as a legend by winning the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. This award was given to the most outstanding female college volleyball players in the country. Ross who was a USC international relations student, was a renowned volleyball player. Margie Ross did not see her daughter reach the top of beach volleyball. When Ross was in her sophomore year at USC her mother died of breast cancer. Her mother is still very dearly.
